I fired up my account and uploaded some stuff including an FKS Sticker puzzler; St Etienne live; Zola being sent off; 70's sportsman with ciggie & other stuff. Mine is here. The posts are about reading/writing, politics, and goofy stuff I find on the Internet. Nothing about football, but I'm not ruling out the possibility for the future.

Been thinking about starting one, purely for my football photos - as a technofuckwitt whose only social media use is Flickr, I'm hoping it's really intuitive and simple to load pics and design the page setup....? Anyone want to confirm or deny?

If you can use Flickr, you can use Tumblr, sure. It's worth knowing, especially if you want to keep going both a Flickr and Tumblr account, that if you want to post your own photos there are two ways of doing it: either uploading direct to your Tumblr, or effectively copying the link to the .jpg over from Flickr. The design side of things is in the first instance just a matter of playing around with various aspects of templating.

Tbh my flickr account is pretty much dormant and I've not used it for football photos, so I shouldn't need to copy the jpg addresses at this stage.

Right - I've got round to setting up my tumblr and adding a few photos to it - not going to be re-blogging other stuff or writing anything of interest, but if anyone wants to check out my random football photography, it's here.

I'll be wading through my external hard drive over the summer and adding more stuff as and when I get the chance.

Is anyone else finding the new Tumblr iPhone app to be so slow that it's practically unusable?

Looking at those tumblr sites, the themes seem more suited for very short posts and pics.

I'm looking at something that combines images with longer written pieces, do people find Wordpress sites better for this sort of mix?
