Rooney and RVP remember they're on the same team, and combine to nearly open the scoring. Good header from RVP, good save from the keeper whose name I can't be arsed to google.

This followed Arsenal finally crossing(Sagna), and Giroud having our best chance of the half.

I've given up on this game. Partly because I've a piece to write. But mostly because it's turgid shite.

2-2 now

Great goal by Coutinho. That should do his confidence good...

Aye, t'was a beauty.

Suarez left his studs in on a challenge with the keeper there, and Fulham have subbed him off as a result.

That certainly doesn't sound like Suarez at all.

Newcastle have been absolutely annihilated at home to Spurs.

Arsenal can't even score against Man Utd.

Will they even finish fourth now?

I think United only got into the final third about once in that whole second-half, although the combination between Rooney and Van Persie was lovely and forced a good save.

De Gea played well at the other end and I though Vidic was excellent too. Disappointing game lacking much in the way of intensity.

Picked up at the end for Arsenal, though united had the greater number of clear chances.

It was a cagey affair, would be the kindest thing to say.

Giroud does annoy me, he drifts off to the left and right side of the pitch on occasion - which is grand - but you then need a midfielder to take his space up front, yet this never happens, we just end up with a dirty great space where a striker should be.

As always supporting Newcastle has a way of showing one new nadirs, as we go into injury time 4-0 down to Tottenham having put in an absolutely rancid non-performance and you know what fuck it I'm just going to drop any pretence of rational analysis and dive straight into the stolen-from-Wingco ALL CAPS WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS GIBBERISH IT'S SOME OF THE WORST SHITE I'VE SEEN US PLAY EVER AND I'VE SEEN US UNDER GRAEME FUCKING SOUNESS FOR FUCK'S SAKE THEY'VE ABSOLUTELY FUCKING CAKEWALKED THROUGH US AT WILL BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN IT IS 2014 AND STEVEN FUCKING TAYLOR IS STILL GETTING A GAME THE USELESS THICK CUNT WHY HAVE YOU GONE AND PICKED HIM AND WILLIAMSON AND WHY HAVEN'T YOU REALISED THAT DAVIDE SANTON'S FORM HAS DROPPED QUICKER THAN JOSE FONTE'S WIFE'S KNICKERS YOU HORRIBLE SMARMY GREASY SILVER FOX FUCKING PRICK. I CAN AT LEAST GIVE YOU FUCKING CREDIT FOR NOT PICKING SHOLA FUCKING AMEOBI FOR ONCE, BUT WHAT'S THE POINT IN CELEBRATING THAT WHEN THE PLAYERS YOU DO PICK ARE SO OBVIOUSLY A COMPLETE FUCKING SHOWER WHO HAVE HAD THEIR TENUOUS EQUILIBRIUM SHATTERED BY THE FUCKING PUDDINGHEADED DECISION TO SELL OUR BEST PLAYER WITHOUT REPLACING HIM BECAUSE ASHLEY DECIDED TO MAKE A SHIT VERSION OF RODNEY FUCKING DANGERFIELD OUR DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL AND WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A SINGLE FUCKING PLAYER JOINED NEWCASTLE UNITED AND ACTUALLY IMPROVED ONE FUCKING IOTA ANYWAY. IF I THOUGHT IT WOULD CHANGE ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING I WOULD WALK TO NEWCASTLE AND FUCKING SACK ALAN PARDEW MYSELF AND BY SACK I MEAN LITERALLY BUNDLE THE HORRIBLE LITTLE TWAT INTO A SACK WITH JOHN CARVER AND STEVE STONE AND THAT HORRIBLE WOODMAN CUNT AND THROW THE WHOLE SORRY FUCKING LOT INTO THE TYNE. BUT GUESS WHAT, MIKE ASHLEY WOULD ONLY GO OUT AND HIRE JOE KINNEAR OR ALAN CURBISHLEY OR DAVID PLEAT OR PETER FUCKING SHREEVES. FUCK THIS FOR A GAME OF SOLDIERS

It's looking as though we're going to have our usual season, just in reverse this time around.

Honestly, that's not at all how it looked to me. He followed the ball in, instep first.

Gerrard converts it, 3-2 Liverpool and up to 53 points if they close it out.

I got a lot of grief for saying this

Which they - Liverpool - do.

Definitely made the right choice in abandoning the Arse game there.

Fulham sent 8 players up front at that last kick off, and they stayed up front, launching long ball after long ball at them. It was like watching Chelsea in the 2005 CL semi final.

Another 2 bad goals conceded by liverpool tonight. The second one was bad by Skrtel, but he rightly tore strips off Mignolet for not coming out and claiming it. Mignolet was very reluctant to come off his line all night.
