TOPIC: The Xpert11 thread - is that better Ad Hoc?

for the derby game against your neighbours and biggest threat to your defence of the title?
Would you never have dreamt of bringing on Jordan Henderson when you were 2-1 down with 20 minutes left to inspire your side to victory?
Would you persist with a £50m striker and find a way to help him score rather than cut your losses and flog him for way under the price you paid?
Would you consider taking over as manager of a team floundering at the bottom of the table when you could easily have gone into semi-retirement?
You can make all these kinds of decisions if you want. All you need to do is sign up for the OTF League on Xpert11. It's easy enough to play and is open to anyone here. Whether you are a long time poster, an occasional one, or one of the many who have signed in and just lurk around looking at the forum, too afraid to post your views? You needn't be afraid to have a go at this, just break the habit of a lifetime, make yourself known and we will guide you through the rather simple process of registering on the Xpert11 site.
For anyone who wishes to join, this is the league invite link. Just log in with your details and Etienne will hopefully process your details as soon as possible. You can create your own new team, or there is at least one established team you could take over, it's up to you.

And see if you can stop AFC Purgatory from making it three in four seasons.

That's your job isn't it?

Certainly is.

Looks like we have twenty teams for next season unless we have some new recruits.

Purgatory won't win the league this year. My best midfielder just retired and I've got no money to replace him. I forcast 4th.

Has anyone seen Etienne? Hwe usually buggers off on holiday at season update time. He must have about six or seven holidays a year.
It would be good to get more recruits if we can, it would be nice to keep the three division format, but if we drop to twenty that might not be sustainable.

Just to add that you can be completely competitive without taking more than ten minutes a week to set up your team and do other bits (collect sponsorship money, bid on players). It really is a very casual game.

Sadly, Sean, it's not holidays but real life that is keeping me occupied now.

Like Antepli said, it should be 20 teams for the new season, but I don't want to mess with the league structure which I think worked well.

So if we could have up to 4 new entries to me by Wednesday, that'd be super. If not, we'll go 8-7-7 again.

Yes, come on people. There must be plenty of you look at the Xpert11 thread and wonder why you don't get to enjoy the same joy and pleasure that we do, in much the same way as you watch a numerously populated orgy on a free porn site and wish you could be in the middle of it. Well whilst we cannot offer uninhibited group sex, we can offer the next best thing, and like group sex, try it once and if it isn't to your taste or you just feel intimidated and cannot rise to the occasion, then you are free to leave.
Give it a try, don't knock it until you've tried it.

Says the man with "creamy creamy creamy" as flavor text below his user name.

Seriously, anybody, join in. The game is enjoyable on so many levels.

Right, no idea if I'll be able to sustain this but I'll give it a go. Great Ouse Town have been registered.

Welcome Kevchenko. I hope you enjoy taking part. If you have any questions then let me know and I will try to answer them for you.

Cheers Sean. Does it play ok on an Android phone, or do I really need a computer?

You can do the basics, i.e. set your team and tactics from an android phone, but to buy and sell players and order from training you need a computer. That's my experience any way.

Well, I personally think that it works pretty fine on an Android phone, as long as you do this one thing. When you go to the site on your phone you are presented with a login screen for the mobile site, with at the bottom a link to go to the desktop site. Follow that link.

Just so people know what I'm planning, depending on new entrants numbers:

1 New player (Kev) = replace Ealing, Stay 8-7-7
2nd New player = replace Extremaduro, Stay 8-7-7
3rd New player = 8-8-7
4th New player = 8-8-8

While it'd be better to even up the league numbers, I'd prefer not to mess around with the promotions (and relegations) people have earned unless we have to!

Thanks for the replies - I found the mobile site and managed to pick a team for a friendly against Antepli Ejderha and will explore the full site later.

If the neglected teams are still sustainable, then my preference would be to add Kevchenko to the roster and go 8-8-7, probably reprieving the third lowest in div 1

Also, having empty teams means we can offer a place to new recruits mid-season should anyone want to join.
