The idea is simple, the scoring isn't.

Pick a club from the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup, which is drawn tomorrow. Follow the progress.

The first time your club wins, you get 10 points. This then grows by 10 with each victory - if your team wins 3 matches, you'll have won 10, then 20, then 30 points, meaning 60 in total.

Fullscoring as follows:

10 for a win
7 for a replay win (90 or 120 mins)
5 for a win on penalties
3 for a loss on penalties
1 for a replay loss

These scores would still be multipied accordingly with the run your current team is on. So, if your team has won 2 matches (10+20), then loses on penalties (9), score from that club would be 39, then you adopt the victors.

To try and keep interest up throughout the competition, a new rule.....If your team is beaten by a club who has been adopted by an OTFer, then you may adopt a different club. The price of this? All your points. New club, but you start again on zero.

There area couple of ways to go about this. Both Larkhall Athletic and Odd Down are local teams with former being brilliant for junior football. I have seen Raynes Park Vale play. I am enthused about Bedlington Terriers since the documentary. There again, you could go the silly name route of Quorn, Stone Dominoes or Thurnby Nirvana.

I think I will go for Larkhall.
