After Saturday I'm just going to continue posting on last season's thread, next year can't throw up anything better.

I'm keeping my predictions under wraps until I've seen who's playing where.

Allegations of a fondness for the grape and the grain according to the Sellick fans in my circle.

Thompson and Lennon spend a surprising amount of time in Byres Road bars, I've seen them a few times together. They've obviously fallen out, pretty shit way to get the sack off your mate though.

Austerity bites - Sergio leaves Hearts It really must have been a shit contract if he'd rather be unemployed than sign it.

It may be down to what his playing budget will be next year. losing the unpaid transfer fee from Rangers will really hurt Hearts.

But he must have achieved his targets for on field success.

Moved from the other thread (didn't know Chippy had already started this one):

The draw for the diddy Ramsdens Cup has been made:

NORTH / EAST DRAW

* Brechin City v Dundee
* Falkirk v Stirling Albion
* Montrose v Inverurie Loco Works
* Peterhead v East Fife
* Elgin City v Arbroath
* Forfar Athletic v Dunfermline Athletic
* Wick Academy v Raith Rovers
* Cowdenbeath v Alloa Athletic

SOUTH / WEST DRAW

* East Stirlingshire v Ayr United
* Morton v Albion Rovers
* Berwick Rangers v Queen’s Park
* Dumbarton v Queen of the South
* Hamilton Academical v Airdrie United
* Stranraer v Stenhousemuir
* Annan Athletic v Livingston
* Clyde v Partick Thistle

Ties are due to be played on Saturday 28th July, so there's still plenty of time to swap Newco Rangers with either Dunfermline or Dundee...

The SPL schedule is about to be released with "team X" as a placeholder until the future of FC SEVCO or whatever it is to be called is resolved.

Meanwhile the SFA has proposed a new structure which combines SPL and SFL.

So Team X (or Club 12) is Dundee, so that may become my Son's 1st away match.

In bad (but expected) news for Aberdeen Fraser Fyvie, our best young midfielder since Jess, has signed for Wigan for an "undisclosed" fee. Sign of the times.

Will Rangers play Brechin on 28th July, just 12 days away?

It appears letting Newco in at all hinged allowing a transfer of the SFA licence from Rangers FC plc (IA)(now renamed Rangers2012) to SEVCO 5088 Ltd (to be renamed The Rangers FC Ltd). Apparently the SFA want the sanctions (unknown)to follow the licence.

So it's unclear what will happen just yet.

Googling Sevco brings up this doc. If authentic, it seems to mean the newco must still make arrangements to pay creditors, and be liable for any misdeeds by oldco yet to come to light:

If the SFA stick to their guns on that lot SEVCO will struggle. Item 8 explains why Craig Whyte transferred the floating charge to his Dad, although a father could be an associate!

12 (iii) will be tricky given we know that not all the EBT money has been publicly accounted for yet.

It surprises me that the SFL clubs would let them in knowing that they have that sword dangling.
