(Know 2-3 real saddoes who've done up to 300 grounds. That's just too much. Like to get to 250 and call time.)

Or if not on Facebook, you can do via www.footballgroundmap.com

Unsure if match up to Jorge/Merlin, but respect all the same....

Cheers for the link, now I can relieve stress and waste time by doing this.

I also forwarded it on to our supporters website.

I went to Burton Albion v Rochdale on Sunday (along with a load of other fans from other clubs given their attendance and the four Bristol City shirts and one AFC Wimbledon shirt I saw at the game)

All 92 clubs completed, although as JP says, I am nagged by the Colchester, Darlington and Rotherham "re-dos". Where's that league two fixture list...

We've got a London Millers' trip for our home game against Aldershot on the 31st of October.

Thanks GO, have sent you a pm, have other plans for that day unfortunately before heading off to Cardiff's ridiculous home game against Forest the next day. Sunday 5pm. Great.

115, plus 10 for non-footballing reasons (rugby league, speedway etc). Think I'm in the low 60s of current league grounds with Carlisle.

Bump.
posted 03-08-2011 18:20
I've done 106 in 15 countries during my 20 seasons of going to the football, counting professional football only. Not bad for 26, and way more than anyone I know bar one German groundhopper who is on 300+, plus 100+ ice hockey arenas!

40-odd in Scotland, 25 or so in England, 15 in Germany, 10 in France, a couple in Italy, Northern Ireland and Wales, plus single grounds in Austria, Belgium, Holland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland and Ukraine.
posted 03-08-2011 18:33
92, according to the Facebook app. Just not *the* 92, most of them are non-league grounds. The only current league grounds are Chelsea, Arsenal, Palace, Leeds, Stoke, Huddersfield and Kingstonian.

No idea how many I've been to, but there are, of course, only 91.

Given that I spend much of my money following Arsenal, and to get tickets for away games you have to have already been to away games, my list is very small, but I'll post it anyway...

Current league grounds: Arsenal, Bristol City, Newcastle, Oxford
Non-league: York
Old grounds: Arsenal, Coventry
Football grounds visited but not for matches: (New) Wembley (two muse gigs), Nou Camp (tour)

In my defence, I'm still a poor student. Once I actually start having an income, I'll eventually start building this list up. Until then, I'm trying to see every PL team at least once. I've got 6 left, starting with Liverpool in a few weeks.

Other remaining teams (in the order that they visit us this season): Swansea, Stoke, West Brom, QPR, Aston Villa

I won't be able to go to the Swansea game as I'm busy that weekend. But then, they'll probably go down anyway.

Edit: most of your lists are very impressive. How long have you been collecting grounds for?

Hearts (at Murrayfield)

I make that 124 with a heavy emphasis on Scottish Non League grounds.

Other anomalies were Celtic when they played their home games at Hampden and Spartans Juniors at the same ground as their senior team but as these grounds were already counted I didn't want to duplicate them.

I think my tally has stayed the same for the first time in years. Lost Macclesfield Town but regained York City.

With Ipswich refusing to get relegated, and new grounds refusing to get promoted, I'm going to have to start picking random games again. Think I'll strike one off next time England play, most likely Northampton or Wycombe.

I have to say Merlin, that's a pretty good list of grounds and some absolute belters there. Same with RoberMnicus and that long list of juniors grounds - very impressive. My list is below - it's strange how I feel drawn to the non-league game far more than the big clubs.

Sort of, Merlin. They're playing at The Vale which is Ruislip Manor's old ground, where they're the sole tennants. The only problem is that of a long-term lease...
