I'm not too keen on a random 49 but it's nothing compared to a forward wearing 2.

Yes, I bemoaned Kone upthread. I have a suspicion that may be down to the same kind of religious reasons that Kallon used to wear 3 at Inter.

Before the season started, when we had a threadbareish squad, the league told the club to change some player numbers to lower figures from 20's, 30's and 40's. Fair play to them.

The squad numbers of Liverpool's 18 today add up to 485.

People are getting confused here, it's not necessarily high squad numbers that are the problem, it's wrong ones.

I think 62, 61 and 70 are very wrong!

However 2 for Kone and Dempsey is criminal. Samba Diakite and Geoff Cameron are also number 2's for their respective clubs.

Cameron has started games for Stoke at right-back, so no problems here.

I wonder if all these players will get a game
