It wasn't just the on-field tactics that Steve McClaren got badly wrong in Zagreb. For a man supposedly so media savvy, his decision to conduct his post-match press conference solely in English (with a "summary" in Croatian at the end; little use for any non-English-speaking member of the Croatian media who might have wished to ask a question) was a howler that eclipsed Paul Robinson's airshot. 4 August ~ When Nottingham Forest welcome Barnsley to The City Ground on Saturday Steve McClaren will be taking charge of his first game in this country since his disastrous spell as national manager ended in 2007. Forest fans will be hoping he'll do better this time round, as during his 16 months as England coach he couldn't seem to do anything right. Jonathan Wilson assessed one loss to Croatia in WSC 238
