Are you related to anyone who's played the Beautiful Game? ~

I have a match report of a game played by Metz in what seems to be a league in a German Gau (province) in WW2, which mentions my father. I like to imagine that the Metz in question is the same club currently competing with Derby County for the award of most inept top tier sude in Europe.
