4 August ~ The Stirling Albion Supporters Trust yesterday completed the acquisition of Stirling Albion Football Club from former chairman Peter McKenzie. McKenzie wrote off a £1.2 million loan due to him by the club and the final value of the deal, made up by the settlement of outstanding debts and a one-off cash payment to McKenzie, is in the region of £300,000. Club spokesman Paul Goodwin said: "Although the trust has been running the club for a month now, the conclusion of the legal formalities is fantastic.
