The official OTF Carling Cup 07-08 thread ~

I've just read something by Avram Grant complaining that the ref blew as Chelsea were attacking and that was somehow the wrong thing to do. I thought if time was up then the whistle blew, regardless of where the ball was on the pitch. Is there some sort of rule about this (ie the ball has to be 'neutral')?

Or is this bloke out of his depth and clutching at straws?
