Diplomatic incident expected at the World Cup

26 May ~ On June 10, the three-hour World Cup 2010 opening ceremony will include performances from Shakira, John Legend, Alicia Keys and the Black Eyed Peas. Many of us will just resort to groaning quietly at the TV. But there may also be squabbling in the best seats. As the London Review of Books blog reported yesterday, with 50 African heads of state expected to attend the tournament, Jacob Zuma bringing his three wives and a fiancée, and the possible later arrival of Barack Obama there just aren't enough VVIP and VIP seats to go round.
