Liverpool's continuing crisis

21 December 2009 ~ Following a 2-0 defeat to bottom club Portsmouth at the weekend Liverpool are eighth in the Premier League. The last time the club finished a season as low as this was in 1993-94, behind Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield Wednesday and Wimbledon. They were also knocked out of the FA Cup at the third-round stage in an Anfield replay against Bristol City. Graeme Souness resigned a few days later.

Liverpool's continuing crisis is small beer compared to Pompey's.
I have a horrible feeling that Mr Gaydamak would prefer to see our club go to the wall rather than lose out on an ounce of flesh. Pompey were the best team on the day though. Rafa was hilarious on MOTD. He is on a par with Fergie and Wenger for being totally unsporting and ungracious.

Indeed he is. Even as a fan it is painful to watch - almost as painful as some of his 'absolutely perfect' signings. And equally, his handling of those who have withered on the vine - Babel, Riera and now apparently Aquilani.
