It pains me to read in the yellow press, or via the vulgar medium of transistor radio, reports on M. Wenger's refusal to shake hands with his opposite number, Hughes of Manchester City and aspersions cast to the effect that this represented a lack of sportsmanship or even common courtesy on the part of the eminent Alsatian. What these ill-bred disc jockeys and Grub Street scriveners fail to grasp, however, is far from displaying ill grace, M.
