Doug Cheeseman

Doug has worked for WSC in various capacities since 1988, starting off on the enterprise allowance scheme selling the mag outside grounds and pasting up the magazine pages. He has had a hand in the magazine design and production ever since. He also designs WSC books. Since 1998 he has been a freelance graphic designer. He has specialised in football photography books, including: Shot - A photographic record of football in the Seventies, for WSC and 1966 Uncovered - The Unseen Story of the World Cup in England. He is also series designer for Played in Britain, whose titles include Engineering Archie - Archibald Leitch Football Ground Designer. He follows Southend United, where he grew up, and Spurs, whom he adopted following a chance conversation in his school playground in 1976. They were promptly relegated to Division Two.
