Born in Slough, Robert began his journalistic career reporting on Slough Town’s Vauxhall Conference career for local newspapers and went on to work as staff writer on Four Four Two before moving into customer publishing via nme.com and the short-lived internet magazine The Net. A Wimbledon supporter since childhood, he has written numerous articles on the birth and growing pains of AFC Wimbledon in WSC and other titles, as well as authoring the Illustrated History of English Football for Flame Tree Publishing.
