John Williams is a researcher on football and a determined (and occasionally depressed) follower of Liverpool Football Club. In the last few years he has published The Miracle of Istanbul (with Stephen Hopkins) and Rafa: Liverpool FC, Benitez and the New Spanish Fury (with Ramon Llopis). Not content to moan happily like his mates, he has carried on the football writing lark and in 2009 you will see Football Nation: Stories from 60 Years of the Game (with Andrew Ward) and A Cultural History of Liverpool FC. He hopes, one day, to be asked back by the WSC collective. Author links The Miracle of Istanbul |
