Born in Liverpool, raised in Lancashire and lumbered with a family history of supporting Blackburn Rovers, Bruce spent the 70’s and 80’s being poked with sticks by glory hunting friends and relatives. University led him to Brighton where he co-founded Vertigo zine, became a failed indie music impresario and won the fourth division championship of the local 5 a-side league. He’s been writing for WSC since 2004 and contributes to Blackburn Rovers fanzine 4000 Holes.
