John Earls

John grew up in Milton Keynes which, in 1982, meant that Luton was the nearest football team to support. He has occasionally written about the club since doing a month's work experience at WSC in 1991. He went on to become a journalist, editing Teletext's music section Planet Sound since 2001 and latterly writing News of the World's music column. Despite interviewing many acclaimed musicians, he has never been more overawed than when a passing Paul Telfer asked him if he'd like something to drink while interviewing David Pleat at Kenilworth Road.
