And Spain are about to relinquish their Unofficial World Championship (which Scotland has held longer than any other nation).

Fantastic game and atmosphere in Istanbul last night, horrendous goalkeeping error from Onur gifted the Belgians an equaliser but Emre and Marco Aurelio drove the Turks onto victory, it was like Euro 08 again.

Felt sorry for Fellaini as he stuck out a boot which deflected Arda's shot in for the winner despite being the best player on the park.

Hiddink has 6 points from 6.

The next 30 years promise to be interesting times for Wales fans. We just don't know which yet to be independent parts of eastern Europe will have beaten us.

1976 Yugoslavia,
2003 Serbia & Montenegro,
2010 Montenegro,
2025 Vojvodina,
2042 Smerderevo

2014 Kosovo just got a lot more likely.

Just watched the highlights of the Scotland game and scoffing at the wild celebrations at the end from players and management. They should be too embarrassed to even acknowledge a goal like that.

The SFA have had to come out today and apologise for the booing of the Lichtenstein national anthem which happens to be very similar to God Save The Queen. Fucking Scotland.......

unfortunately the anthem booing was sadly inevitable. there are sections of our home support who are as knuckle-scrapingly awful as some of their old-firm supporting cousins. as was pointed out to the dim lads behind us - "its only the same tune, not the same words".

anyway, i had resolved not to get excited when we scored - given the level of opposition. a warm round of applause and a sensible critique of the goals' aesthetic qualities was clearly in order.

however, given the opponents' anti-football, blatant timewasting and career-endangering assaults on (mainly) alan hutton, the 97th minute winner did have me jumping around in a most undignified manner. that the players and management did likewise is an indication of the severity of the embarassment which they had only just avoided.

To be honest, apart from the celebrations immeadiately after the goal (which can be understandably attributed to relief more than anything else) the over-riding gesture at the final whistle from the Scottish players and management was a huge puffing out of cheeks and exhalation of breath ackowledging that they's come mighty close to humiliation.

I know what Bruno means about Leichtenstein's tactics, especially in the last 10 minutes of the tie but it shouldn't be forgotten that they had plenty of the play and further chances even at 1-1.
