This is just a quick heads up to let you know that on Friday, September 3, the mighty Resonance FM will be broadcasting a new football talk show, in which I'll be involved as co-host, contributor, etc.

The remit of the show is essentially to venture further left field than the likes of Talksport or 5Live, even at their best, can permit themselves to, what with the commercial constraints they operate under and their unwillingness to tread on certain toes. We'll be looking to keep the thing energetic, entertaining and funny but to take full advantage of the sort of freedom an entirely non-commercial operation like Resonance FM allows, in terms of subject matter, content – the sort of freedom you get on this board, the freedom that comes with no money being involved. (Apart from my own appearance fee of £50K per show, that is)

I imagine the show will take a short while to find its feet, a sense of its identity but I think it has great potential. I'll be PM-ing certain OTFers in due course in the hope of canvassing appearances, contributions and adding updates to this thread but if anyone has thoughts as regards items, ideas, or anything else, it'd be great if you could either PM me or drop them here.

Oh, yes. Resonance FM only broadcasts live to London but everything is internet-available.

It's not going to be called Sons Of Pitches, thank Christ - that was a working title and we all hated it. But it will be between 9-10, then repeated.

Just to take up the theme of asking if an FM show is available on other mediums; do they broadcast on DAB? FM reception where I currently live is complete balls. Although I am moving this weekend (yay!) so it might be better there.

Hopefully the broadband in the new place will be up and running by then, so I'll listen online.
