I definitely will try and go to one this year, as I usually do but didn't go to any last year. Does anything take your fancy Tubby?

Fans of Murray Gold will be pleased to know that there is going to be another Dr Who prom which will feature some of his music from the series.

I know 1 and 3 are sold out. My folks are here for a couple of days after the 24th.

Would like to do one before then. 6,7, 0r 8? Fairly popular, if that's OK.

Got tickets for Prom 3. Mainly so my Mother can see Domingo sing a full opera - (Simon Bocanegra) before he retires. She's a bit obsessed with him but has only ever seen him at the Classical Brits a few years ago.
Want to get to at least 3 or 4 this year though.

A work colleague is going to #2. He's been given a couple of tickets and is taking his missus, who is keen to have the cultural experience of going to a prom for what will be the first time.

My colleague has no interest in this sort of thing at all and was despondent enough at the thought of having to go to an opera. But watching him Google for further details about the performance itself was absolutely priceless: "Oh God... it's bloody Wagner... oh shit... it lasts for SIX HOURS."

8 looks great, but I may have already committed myself that evening. I'm skint anyway, so it will have to be queuing for floor space as far as I'm concerned. Not that I intend to let that stop me.

I might go to the Stephen Sondheim prom. I'm guessing that Gangster Octopus will not be going to that one.

Gangster Octopus appears to have a hatred of Sondheim that matches his hatred of Arsenal.

CTT, I would break his link where you quote him.

It's a wierd thing to set up, anyway. It's not like the BBC, the organisation running the event, don't already have a hugely comprehensive website for it. Which has been linked to on this thread. If you want to know about the 2010 BBC Proms that would be the place to go.
