I'm a bit slow off the mark here, but did anyone else catch Brendan's anti-war themed puzzle in yesterday's Guardian? Not a hugely tricky solve, but absolutely terrific stuff, I thought, with some really pleasing clues.

I was going to mention it, but forgot. I've never seen an angry, committed, political cryptic crossword before. Amazing stuff. I half feel I want to frame it or something.

Yeah, if any crossword is worth framing it's this one. It really rewards going back and re-examining after completion. I find that when doing a crossword it's very easy to get into the cryptic mindset and sometimes I barely even notice the surface readings so accustomed am I to looking out for the cryptic indicators and so on. It was only on second glance that I realised just how angry, elegant and ingenious it was.

Correct solution, WoE.

'Hearts' of the preceding words are R + DO + S + I. 'Coverage' by OVEN + G.
