The difficulty was not the capital letter; it's that a cryptic clue ought to lead to a single solution. When you've solved it, you should be pretty confident that the answer couldn't be anything else. There have been hundreds of cover versions of Something, and I'm guessing that several of the cover artists fitted the letter count.

I didn't even know she'd done a cover. But indeed she has, along with (according to wikky-p's) at least 150 other acts.

Blimey, nef.

Sorry about Something.

My original clue was Left Something on Abbey road which would have been better. I can't remember why I changed it.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ D / _ _ D _ _ _ _

I'm anticipating a wrist-slap about the 'disused railway' part, which may not quite be conventional.

I've had this since late yesterday evening, and I do know what you mean: bit of an envelope-push job. But that's OK, I think.

I haven't really had time yet to chain the answer into a clue; it's a bit of a tricky one, for my money, and needs a sustained stretch of time. So anyone feel free to cut in.

CLEVERLY swallows AND but then loses RY; INDIANS as meaning of "Amazons". It's the fact that the abbreviation RY is split that makes it a bit cheeky, I'd say.

It's occurred to me that mine's a bit ambiguous; apologies. If it helps narrow it down, the word "power" is meant to be significant.
