It's nice to know that Chelsea supporters can just pop down the road if they want to see a team still in Europe after the clocks go back.

If you think Chelsea fans are anything other than happy for Fulham you're seriously mistaken.

Yes, thats fair.

I looked at it again, and couldnt tell because of ESPN's coverage.

If he meant it, England are really fucked. 'Who let the Yanks play 'soccer'?'

Liq: suck it up, sir. Its a nightmare. I am not slagging you off, because Chelsea are where they are, and Fulham are ... there.

(insert something about proving the rule)

DONT BE NICE.

You've completely lost me there Gero. I think even the most blinkered Fulham fan would recognise that we've never considered them rivals, and that their hatred of us is a very recent (Premier League era) phenomemon.

I find their anti-Chelsea stuff feintly amusing to be honest. In any case, I can't stand Juve, and seeing them humiliated makes me laugh lots and lots.

Liq: I agree with you. Unimportant to bother with.

My bad... but, its like Queens Park beating Lazio... surprising.

(Still not sure if Cannavaro going off, lost the game, or Fulham were just superb... but thats just me)

Juve are rubbish this year. Fulham have thumped better sides than them at home this season. Though it must have been a great night for them in Europe under lights and deservedly so. Unlike for too much of the first leg Fulham played the team in front of them rather than the name I felt. Top job by Hodgson and some very good players, not least of which Bobby Z.

Cannavaro being sent off (leaving arguably the worst back 4-5 (inclu keeper) Juve have ever fielded in place possibly changed a narrow Juve defeat into a bit of a thumping.

But, he wasn't plucked off by God, he couldn't live with the movement and pace of the Fulham player and cynically dragged him down, as has increasingly been the case with the once FABio for a good while now. He and Juve cannot have any complaints.

Which to be fair, an admittedly quick glance at the paper this morning, through my fingers, seems to suggest a focus on Juve's failings rather than being "cheated" by refereeing decisions.

In the longer term this may be no bad thing for Juve, if managed correctly. Which I know will please everyone.

Ranieri, Ferrara, Zac...it makes no difference. Even a coach as gifted as Prandelli would struggle with the poorest Juve side I have ever seen. It's similar to the rot that began to set in at the end of the Lippi era, magnified by ten.

Having said that, I do hope Prandelli is next on the agenda. I have a soft-spot for Fiorentina (which may be odd for a Juve fan), so I wish them all the best, but it seems Prandelli may have took them as far as he can, given the viola's policy of selling their stars rather than fighting to retain them so as to compete.

Perhaps Prandelli could tempt Jovetic to Torino also, in a repeat of the Baggio incident. Oh boy, that would cause some consternation.

I figure if you're Clint Dempsey and you've scored a goal like that, you die a happy man.

I don't so I'm not.

Any excuse to crowbar in a cheap shot against Chelsea though, you know that.

Why is Dempsey known as 'Deuce'? The KISS song or something more obvious and mundane?

I think I'm finally ready to see an English side do well in this competition, I'm just worried that Fulham may have started the amazing comeback thing a round earlier than is fitting - and they still haven't had a Maccarone Moment.

But fulsome mild best wishes all the same, and I think I really mean it.

Zamora is back for tonight's Europa League QF against German Bundesliga champion, who are in mid-table obsucirty since their manager left to coach the current league leader Shalke 04.

I shall be at Putney End giving my all for another upset.

I was just in the bank with the two Wolsburg kit men. One of them took £40 cash out. Two tenners and a twenty. Then they went while I waited for my change order.
