listened to the draw whilst having a bath after a two hour run.

water all over the shop when the radio 5 guy said, wales have never played montengro in any competition or friendly since they became independent, but did meet serbia and montenegro

er.... we played them last summer (and lost) in podrica. not the easiest of places to get to BTW, its also the capital. very nice though, not sure how englands hairy hordes will go down. its also tiny with about two/three hotels

THEN they even went on to look at the group from the travelling englands fans point of view as if wales fans wouldn't consider travelling (or forgetting welsh fans are also part of their target audience)

and THEN... they wheeled out kevin sodding ratcliffe for a welsh perspective. tossers

No fun away trips for Ireland, but a doable draw none the less. And hopefully the fixtures between Slovakia and Russia will turn into a red card extravaganza.

Germany, Austria, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan : the worst possible draw trip-wise for Belgium...
I'll probably go to Turkey, Austria don't know and Germany, well it depends where it will be played. With my luck it will be in Dortmund or Gelsenkirchen, or somewhere similarly exciting...

Shit draw - been to all the away trips before and our group will no longer be about us even in our own country.

Crap.

Tosh's reaction is here:
www.s4c.co.uk/sgorio/e_/toshack_warsaw

The scrum surrounding Capello's brief press conference was ridiculous, totally chaotic and frankly downright dangerous for the journalists involved!

That's a good draw for Ireland. Difficult travelling notwithstanding, Russia and Slovakia are one of the weaker sides in their respective pots. I'm glad we didn't draw France, as most of the country wanted. The frenzy over Henry and vengeance would have blinkered us to the games at hand, and I sense we would have flopped as a consequence.

Hopefully the FAI will push to play Slovakia this September. We have a good record at catching sides who are fresh back from a major tournament.

Quite pleased with Ultonia's draw.

Faeroes: we certainly won't underestimate the feisty fishermen, although it's a relief to not have to play the 90% of the country hidden underwater. Faeroes coach Brian Kerr will enjoy meeting up with lots of other Rangers fans.

Estonia: a chance to met up with old friends in the neocon winter Wonderland (we managed a rare double of friendly wins a few years ago). Was half hoping for an even more exotic ex-Soviet side, but Eesti's east, I suppose.

Slovenia: saving for the Orient Express already, great place to visit. If the game there's limited to 85 minutes we have a chance.

Serbia: bit worried about this one- last time our boys were over Belgrade and Novi Sad, we bombed. Done us like the proverbial kipper in a recent Windsor friendly.

Italy: almost a home from home after our trips to San Marino and Pisa last year. Hopefully they'll offer us a man extra to even things up in the away game.

Thanks Jon. Could you arrange for Robert Koren and any passing Serbs in the Olbyun squad to have a form dip too?

I'm pleased with that. but what Jorge and Rick have said about the coverage and it no longer being about us even in our own country is so true. the coverage today from the BBC has been quite shameful. Wales have been talked about as if we're a foreign country. Everything has been from an English persepective and even when Wales were mentioned by Colin Murray he went on about Norn iron and their win a few years ago. Suddenly he was talking about NI.
Ched Evans to bully Terry in 2011 and defeat England who'll probably be World Champs by then thus making us World champs like Scotland were in 1967. Tehn again Ramsey to torment Gerrard and Bellamy to run Rio ragged, but England to win by a deflected goal after Gabbidon has gifted the ball to someone like Barry. Tsk.

The English press corps are something else Fausto.

My Warsaw diary for the Sgorio website is somewhere on that link I posted earlier (available in the language of heaven and English!) - have a read!

But then just imagine the look on Chris Kirkland's face as David Cotterill dribbles around him, and that's after he'd nutmegged John Terry.
