Speaking of revisionism, Kristia Cavere, a Republican candidate for New York's 19th Congressional District, has claimed that "the Republicans are the ones who liberated Europe in World War II."

Well, Ike eventually decided that he was a Republican, but still . . . Wowza.

Some good comments on that piece:

C'mon People. After Jesus' Republican Army slayed the last Tyrannosaurus Rex that had survived the flood, they then defeated Hitler and Stalin and all of the other atheist communists that had taken over Europe and Reagan tore down the Berlin Wall to make it official. Then the Jesus Republican Army returned the Jews to Israel so any day now we can have the rapture and the Jews, Atheists, and Muslims will be eternally damned and the Republicans will have eternal paradise. Don't you folks know anything about history? As Casey Stengel said, "You could look it up."

When asked by the Orange County Patriots what two people she most admired, she said Jack Bauer and Audrey Hepburn.
