All taken from the recent anti-Obama, NHS-demonising protests in the States, and all suggesting that the President ought to turn his attention to the education system when he's sorted out healthcare...

I think there should be spelling bees one has to pass before you can gain entry to polling stations.

Not just in America, but over here, too.

SR - if you'll spend the rest of the day posting these, I'll spend it reading them. In fact, you should be thinking about publishing a Taschen book.

I'm reposting them from a friend, alas. I think that might be the lot.

What gets me, though, is that every single one of those people must have taken a while to make their sign (OK, clearly not very long in some cases), then looked at it and thought "Yep, that's good" before leaving the house.

Those placards are both funny and profoundly depressing.

Do you think the 'Get A Brain, Morans' guy knows that he has become a worldwide figure of ridicule and contempt?

I like the fact that that woman thinks: Socialism-England-Cup O' Tea. It's like word association with the severely mentally handicapped.

Also, as any good marxist knows, all proper tea is theft.

The anti-Kenyan racist is funny to. I'm sure there are no christians in Kenya. Excellent grasp of the social makeup of Africa there.

I can't make up my mind if pedantry is appropriate here or not, but it's "Get A BRAIN! MORANS"

It's quite touching the way you correct his grammar, though.

I love the 'don't tred on me constitutional roots' sign. Absolutely no effort made, probably scribbled on the way, and written in a Jamaican style.
Get a brain, morans reminds me of a post I saw on a forum dicussing the (former) Cambridge chairman George Rolls that said 'George Rolls is an imbasil. We want Rolls out.'

Yeah totally. Normally the joke is "Why do anarchist drink herbal tea?" but I felt Marx was a wee bit more appropriate here.

I just really, really hope the phtographer got all of these guys, and there's not hundreds of properly spelt ones as well.

I know what you mean about the time they must have spent on them. It's like turning up to a US Serviceman's funeral with the Woodsborough Baptist Church and bringing a "God Hates Flags" placard.

Trivia question: which is (probably, but I'm willing to be corrected) the only worldwide pop hit single to contain the word 'imbecile'?

I'm not sure it's that, is it? I think it's that they consider themselves the second coming of the Boston Tea Party.

Hmm. Yeah, could be. I know they call these wee gatherings tea parties and use all that stupid imagery, but I thought this was maybe more of an "British healthcare system" thing, since that's the focus right now.

I happened to watch the 100th episode of South Park last night, the one with pro-war and anti-war protestors clashing (and Cartman having a flashback to the Founding Fathers), and it's wonderfully relevant to all this.

Do you think he meant "Get a brain Moranis!", in a jibe at the former Ghostbusters star for his album 'The Agoraphobic Cowboy'? It's a long shot, I know, but...
