Slow down there Torcida.. The Colts OL is awesome at pass protection. Peyton was only sacked 10 times this year (hence his durability). Ten, all year, and everyone knows they are passing most of the time. The Vikings pass rush would've been a really good test because you can't blitz Peyton- he will kill you. You have to get pressure on him with only 4 or 5 pass rushers.

This would've been a really good game if it took place around week 8 or so.. The Saints lost their offensive magic touch towards the end of the season- don't get me wrong, they're still very good- but they we're unstoppable early on. We'll see, hope they can get it back, because I think they'll need to score 34 or so to win and probably won't have the benefit 15 fumbles again.

The only shit-for-brained analysis that I can't stand is the "The Colts scored 30 points on the #1 defense...what will they do to the #25th ?"

Uh, fuckfaces, the Colts played the Jets a few weeks ago. And back then, what every ADD short-attention spanned motherfucker has forgotten, is that they were wondering how the Jets would deal with the Colts if they played later in the playoffs when they just played a game will all of their strengths, thus showing the Colts everything that they had - while the Colts showed almost nothing.

It truly comes down to Shockey's Shock Factor. Those 2-3 passes he catches make all the difference in the world. He's what makes the offense unstoppable.

I think the lack of sacks of Manning is more due to his quick release and field smarts than a dominating job by the line. If you look at the players they have, they're all smart and well-coached but none of them are exactly roadgraders.

Jason - Shockey has to be the leading candidate to be arrested in embarrassing circumstances prior to a Super Bowl since Eugene Robinson. I'll put a packet of Twinkies on him being found slumped unconscious and clutching a bottle of Tequila at some point in the week before the big game.

Do you mean Barret Robbins ? The Oakland Radiers center who missed the Super Bowl to party in Tijuana ? If so, I'd say the only thing the Shockster has going for him is the fact that Havana is illegal to go to, and isn't 16 miles away (like Tijuana is from San Diego.)

And here's a magazine article tailer-made for ye, Torcida.

It has something to do with how today's NFL rookies are so much better than anytime in history due to playing so much...

Madden.

But didn't the Raiders center go off his meds and have a serious meltdown? It wasn't like he just partied too hard.

He was bi-polar, but drank a lot. After a shootout with the Miami Police, per terms of his plea agreement that resulted in 5 years probation he was ordered to get on bipolar meds and off alcohol.

Besides, even if you have a mental breakdown, if it's in Tijuana it's automatically categorized as "partying." Likewise, even if you're partying, if you miss the Super Bowl to hang out in the Mojave Desert it's automatically a "mental breakdown."

Ok, so I have got no idea of the rules and my only previous contact with American football was via The Blind Side (the book) and Friday Night Lights (the series).

Even so, the idea of a side - the New Orleans Saints - reaching the Super Bowl final for the first time in their history sounds interesting. At what time - European - would the final be played? And what are the likelihood of being able to watch it over the internet?

PS - Am I the only one who thinks that the 'Who Dat?' chant is something that a five year old would normally want to sing? Is that what passes for a good chant over in America?

How much are the 30 second ad spaces selling for this year? Are they going to break $3million?

I don't believe it. If they are worried about saying Super Bowl, why wouldn't they just leave that line out altogether. I think Saints vs Colts 7th Feb is probably enough info.

Yes. We stopped at "Hell No, We Won't Go" and "No Justice, No Peace".

Page 2 or 3 of this thread, hell it may have been the first page, dealt with the Who Dat vs Who Dey chants.

Edit - Page 4.

Remains to be seen. He's a hell of a physical specimen and seems to have a "wholesome" positive attitude that the NFL will exploit to no end.

If he were still available in the early rounds I'd take a chance on him as he's not a pain in the ass prima donna (not yet anyway) and use him at least as a 3rd down type of player.

He and Ronnie Brown together in the backfield in a Wildcat formation could be really fun to watch. I don't think he'll be a starting QB in the NFL, but he could be used as a running back--hell, a fullback even--or as some wild card or a decoy in a Wildcat formation.

The Who are doing are half-time show, I've heard. Is that right?

The Who?

Forgive me, but that will be more amazing than anything that happens before or after half time.
