This picture is great:

For the uninitiated, NY has recently developed bus lanes and cycle lanes. Here, we have adverts for not blocking the bus lane blocking the cycle lane, and forcing the cyclist into the door clearance area of the car parking.

That's great. To these London eyes it looks like An empty 6 lane motorway...there's so much space! I'll try and take a pic of an average London cycle lane this morning.

I demand a picture of those!

Ah, sorry - I was being ironic. They're about the least pimpy of all the Sidis, being all-black (unlike my normal shoes, which are usually a bit ridiculous). I did look at Eagle Pros, Dragons and Spiders, but went for the warmest in the end. (They have no mesh bits, it's all "Lorica" - that Sidi-patented microfibre leathery stuff).

it always strikes me as ridiculous to buy shoes costing well into 3 figures without getting to try them on...

I tried a load on and their sizing is very consistent - basically, you just get a size up from your normal shoe size. If you have high arches or feet like root vegetables, some of them are available in Mega versions, which are slightly wider and more generous over the arch of your foot. Mine are Megas.

Meanwhile, Bike Porn Christmas Present Ideas Department: The personalised Tour De France crime novel!

There's even an optional erotic scene. I think we should have a whip-round for Fausto and get Fabien Cancellara's thighs in there somewhere...

Prendas have their retro Molteni jerseys back in stock. Mmmmm... understated.

Those of you with very long memories will know that post 1 on page 1 of this thread concerned the beautiful Cinelli Laser. There have been persistent rumors that Cinelli are bringing out a limited edition remake in the summer of 2012.

Here is a designer's CAD concept of what it might look like.
