England are launching a new kit for the Netherlands match, apparently:

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/artic...-sparks-fan-row.html

I am at the stage now where I don't have a great deal of sympathy for those that keep buying the damn things. It only encourages those who would release a new kit for every match.

That collar should be that laughing stock of the international game, the football equivalent of a bowl haircut or pasty shoes

Both this new version and the previous one are somewhat off. The portugal shirts are quite nice, the home red would have been perfect if the sleeve trim were the same width as on the collar.

That England shirt is horrific, how can you make such a mess of a plain white shirt?

The collar is a disgrace and the red badge just looks cheap and nasty.

Me no likey.

Don't worry, three matches at most and it's gone, because we'll have to wear the mandatory World Cup Winning Red, We Won the World Cup In Red away strip at some point whether it clashes or not and since we'll probably stumble out of the pool more by accident than design and then crash immediately thereafter, it'll be gone.

I'm fine with that away kit, and the home kit. And the home kit before that. And the home kit before that. Actually I really liked the that before that and that home kit, which people derided at the time as pyjamas, probably while wearing TOFFS retro shirts that looked exactly the fucking same as the that before that and that home kit.

I can't help but be amused by people's moaning about England kits. If it's simple and clearly retroish, it's shit. If it has inappropriately placed stripes and stitching, it's shit. If it has fucking unicorns springing out of it, well, shit again.

Czech Republic away is also nice, though I'm not sure what they've done to the lion. Too many of the others are ruined by completely useless "design elements".

France are playing in polo shirts, eh?

Germany away and Italy away are fantastic. Czech Republic would be fine if they wore white shorts and blue socks, but they won't.

I've changed my mind about Poland - horrible, especially as there's no consistency in panel placement across both shirts.

The Greek guys wearing their civvies instead of shorts - cringe.
