I love this quote: Khan said he was always polite and never overcharged. "I don't even spit when people are in my rickshaw," he said. "That's how polite I am."

What more do people want? Those autorickshaws are an exciting, if somewhat terrifying, way of getting around in India (although you could say that about most forms of road transport in India). They feel unstable and a lot of them do emit vast amounts of black smoke. It'll be interesting to see if the law actually gets put into practice.
