Well spring was in full bloom in South Yorkshire today. In fact, whilst driving the car - such was the luminosity of the sunlight - I was almost tempted to take off my jacket.

the sun came out today, in greenwich, for about 30 minutes. i nearly rang the news to report a big hot yellow ufo hovering in the skies. for a fleeting moment it was quite nice and warm. and then it went back to being cold and dismal and shit

The only problem with this weather is the arsehole public transport chiefs who decree that the heating has to be on on the bus and tube. And the arseholes at my office who decide the same.

Yes. About the only thing making life bearable at the moment is not having to deal with too much warm weather. We're going to have to suffer through months of boiling stinking exhusting hayfevered summer soon enough without wishing it any earlier than it already arrives.

Had a lovely sunny picnic in Sherwood Forest with my mum today, sans coat.

Looks like it could be happening...

Yeah, the weather was nice here all weekend and is again, today. Apparently, it'll peak at 12C.

Now, if only it could stay like this all year round, I'd be very happy. (Sorry, MS!)

If it gets any warmer than this I shall not be happy. I like the cold brightness and the crocuses and the rhododendrons are coming out and apart from the 'fuck me is it Easter already' terror, it's not too bad, but this is about the limit.

Spring's tentacles stretched as far as Fife at the weekend. It was shirt-sleeve weather for our walk along the coast on Sunday. It rained a bit an' all, but generally it was surprisingly clement. It needs to keep it up, though. Only three weeks 'til my wedding, and I won't look so fat in the photos if they're taken outside.

Amazingly Spring hasn't started here yet. Today is the first burst of consistent not chillyness that we've had this year. So far ot's been grey, cold, rainy and shit apart from a few select days for the first two and a half months of the year, and locals are blaming me for bringing the weather back with me.

Hah. My sentiments exactly.
What the date of yours, RM? I'm getting hitched on the 10th.

Hobbes,

Ours is the 3rd. Cunningly arranged for the day day before my birthday so I don't forget the anniversary. The future Mrs McLochness is getting a bit panicky about things, but I'm confident everything is covered. Apart form the weather, like. Despite last weekends (relative) balminess, April in Dunfermline could really throw anything at us.

Best of luck with your own day. If I discover aything that in hindsight I wish I'd thought about with a week to go I'll be sure to let you know.

Cheers mate. Congratulations and good luck. These things invariably go off seamlessly as far as I've been able to tell in various roles from guest to best-man.
Hopefully the weather on the Thames will be as lovely as it is today. It'll make the pictures cooler, if nothing else.
