Seedorf, bringin' it.

Still, one has to wonder if Milan has peaked here. It was a very mediocre performance overall and should have been a draw. Two very lucky wins (here and against Fiorentina) are why we're a point off first.

I am thrilled Milan won in extremis, it could be a cracking run in, surprisingly. Love Seedorf.

I still think, like most I imagine, that Inter is the best side but physically and mentally a very tired one (not surprising for such a grinding team) in recent weeks, and to be fair one that may have taken its eye off the ball in serie A. However, I think this is down to weaknesses in the team and psyche rather than simply design. Nonetheless, I think, not originally, progress or otherwise in the CL is going to be a huge factor.

It would be hilarious to think that Mourinho is plagued by paranoia at presumed anti-Inter officialdom. But the idea is so risible even he cannot really believe it and is simply looking to cement a siege mentality (how perfect jose and Inter are for each other) and gain advantages, of which Inter, like all the "big" clubs still enjoy many.

Indeed, my brother in law and I agreed that without the benefit of general "big club" favouritism, Juve might be in the bottom half of the table or serie C1! It was a nightmare yesterday. Which is all I want to say on Juve.

If we knock Inter out on Tuesday they will win the league at a canter. If not, then it could go to Milan, despite tham being a bit shit. Roma's classic bottle job at Livorno shows why they won't do it: if you let a pensioner like Lucarelli score a hat-trick against you then you don't deserve to win shit.

Lucarelli looks about forty-five. He's a strong fucker, though.

Palermo-Inter 1 (2-1) let's face it they're pooped
Milan-Napoli 1 It's no country for southerners
Bari-Parma 1 It's rough down south for Parma
Cagliari-Lazio 1 and down right inhospitable for northerners like Lazio in the islands
Sampdoria-Juventus 2 (1-4) The Empire strikes back

If it stays level in Palermo, Milan will of course have the opportunity to edge into first by defeating Napoli tomorrow. The San Siro is apparently sold out (!) for that fixture. (When's the last time Milan sold out a non-derby game?)

Inter-Palermo has been enjoyable so far, both teams of course have much to play for and it's showing.

Cannavaro inexplicably hanging around 5 yards behind the rest of his defensive line allows Cassano to go through and have a shot saved when a pass would have definitely put Samp in front. Decent open game in the last 15 minutes of the first half (all I've seen) chances at both ends. Zaccheroni looks increasingly like JT Walsh in Pleasantville where his existence is falling apart around him.
