i think that paul gascoigne has earned enough money to be counted as middle class by now.

but i don't think he is being badly treated now, mostly people seem to want him to get better as soon as possible.
he was some great player, mind.

i think that class is determined much more by attitude than actual financial worth.

gascoigne was a great player but he could have been one of the true stellar greats if he'd applied himself properly.

i think the fact gascoigne came from the background he did results in sneering at him and a hope he dies in the gutter from some quarters on here

I completely disagree with your last sentence. This place is generally very sympathetic to Gascoigne and his, errr, troubles.

perhaps you are and i am too, but i don't think there's much understanding of what it means to come from the lowest ranks of society here, unless it's gleaned from the pages of haralambos

I've done it for him and read every post in the thread and can assure you that no one on here expressed the hope that 'he dies in the gutter'. You just made that up.

That must rank among the most arrogant, lazy, cowardly, disrespectful, illogical and intellectually dishonest responses I have ever come across on this forum.

Is that Inezetc person Munchkin by another name?

That would be the same website, one of whose number produced the most thoughtful and sympathetic (in the true sense of the word) article on Gazza and his depression, and which has many members who grew up on council estates or urban working class parts of the country, right?

Again, point out the sneering remarks here, or shut up with your catch-all victim complex.
