Roy was on FIFA's 'technical committee' and none too impressed to find that despite his status he was sat amongst regulation fans who deigned to try and enjoy the game. He constantly moaned about the view from his allocated seat and grumbled whenever any fans sitting nearby stood up. (This was the hosts v the favourites and not a bad game you might recall, a bit of standing and singing seemed fair enough). He disappeared at half time never to return leaving us to enjoy the 2nd half, ET, penalties and obligatory end of match brawl without his curmudgeonly interruptions. Judging from that first half performance though, he's set to get a lot grumpier in post-match Fulham press conferences than so far witnessed. - doug2 Mon, 25 Feb 2008 17:21:08 +0100
