Nice tribute.

Big Keith brought back a lot of belief during his time at City and gave us some fantastic memories. I'd always hoped he'd come back for a third spell. Sadly that's not to be.

Football has lost a proper legend. - rikwolters

Good tribute, I have memories of Keith scoring for the Mariners in a local derby at Scunthorpe - how we could do with somebody like him now. RIP - Ianrod

This is a sad day. It wasn't helped by Chris Kamar referring to Mansfield instead of Macclesfield in his tribute on Sky Sports News. what a dolt. - Jongudmund

That's a lovely piece. I was holding back a few tears yesterday when I heard the news, but it is testimony to him that the England teams wore black armbands last night.
He certainly was a great lover of football. I lived in the village next to his, and it was a good 2 mile walk from him house where I play Sunday League football. However he would sometimes walk down to watch our games, not out of any obligation, just because he enjoyed football at all levels.
I will miss seeing him cycling and running around the village in his yellow socks, a fantastic person and genuinely interesting to talk to. - Lincoln
