Typical, when Australia qualified through Oceania we had to play off against the likes of Uraguay & Argentina. Now the Kiwis get to play the 'mighty' Bahrain to qualify for a World Cup, talk about an easy ride. Hopefully we get to play them in South Africa and put 10 goals past them! - madmickyf

The Kiwis have never been any good at living up to the hype. The All Blacks demonstrate this every four years in the Rugby World Cup. They were lucky to scrape a draw against Bahrain in the first leg and Gold Coast United are managed by a man who would make Bryan Robson look like Rinus Michels.

Still, I'll be cheering them on come the 14th. Always good fun to watch pasty white boys doing the haka. - NiceOneCenturian

For anyone who's interested, here's a great interview with Steve Sumner, New Zealand's captain at the 1982 World Cup.
