It is not correct that Marcus Evans never goes to Ipswich matches. At least that is what he says although since no one knows what he looks like it is difficult to check and has prompted the fanzine TWTD to sell t-shirts marked "I am Marcus Evans".

As an Ipswich fan I would say that the Championship is less predictable than you suggest. Last season we also had the unpredictability of Jim Magilton's team selections as well.

Although Ipswich is often described as a family club we now have an owner (Evans), chief exec (ex-para and GB olympic boss Simon Clegg) and manager (Keane) with no links with or interest in the Club's past and principles.

Clegg was interviewed on R4's Today this morning. When he opens his mouth jargon flows out - "business model", "results driven" etc etc. Somewhat surprisingly the Club have increased admission prices this season; one sign anyway that Clegg may not really know what he is doing. - onedeadbudgie

I'll predict right now that if Coloccini makes more than 25 starts for Newcastle this season, they won't get promoted. He is a footballing suicide bomber. - Analogue Bubblebath
