Chile may not have any "name players" but as the article notes they play very well collectively and young guys like Alexis Sanchez and Gary Medel, both stars of Chile's semifinalists at the 2007 U-20 World Cup, are helping lead Chile's revival. Under Bielsa Chile attacks it's opponents from so many different routes that they become very difficult to defend. They are a joy to watch and a team fans around the world should look forward to seeing in 2010. - Martin C

Nice piece. Of course, the story of CONMEBOL qualifying was about to look very unique with Chile and Paraguay shining, but the latter has fallen on hard times of late. And Paraguay wasn't playing the same kind of attacking football that Chile has played. The neutrals among us are hoping Chile continue to shine. - danielmak

It's great to see Chile under Bielsa's coaching, as it was with Argentina. The man is a genius, and his eccentricities just add a little more to the myth.

If only Brazil had a Bielsa (or Muricy Ramalho) instead of Dunga... - fbrazolin
