McCabe's property interests seem to be the primary driving mechanism. On the one hand McCabe has undoubtedly put some serious money into these ventures and he expects to make a healthy return on that but whether that is money separate to the Blades or not is lost to the majority of fans between the confusion of the ownership issues and the multiple businesses that are linked. This weekend we appear to be on the point of selling two of our best prospects in a generation to Spurs for about £8M with Kyle Walker apparently being sold on for a paltry £2M.
