McCabe is now on the board of CCM per http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/108694,blades-boss-on-coast-board.aspx

I would have thought that CCM can only benefit from his input. - Gratius Falsius

@ StephL:

Do you remember who the players were? I went to see Woluwe play one Saturday night in 2007, and they had a couple of those players out there for them. - MinkaBeaver

Two seasons ago, Royal White Star Woluwe had 5 players on loan from United, they were from Jamaica and Trinidad&Tobago. Lots of talent but an attitude problem meant that their spell was a short lived one. I'm not sure that the agreement still exists between the two clubs. - StephL

Most Blades' fans I know remain unconvinced of our overseas experiment, it is also difficult to fathom out the precise relationship between the clubs. McCabe's property interests seem to be the primary driving mechanism. On the one hand McCabe has undoubtedly put some serious money into these ventures and he expects to make a healthy return on that but whether that is money separate to the Blades or not is lost to the majority of fans between the confusion of the ownership issues and the multiple businesses that are linked. This weekend we appear to be on the point of selling two of our best prospects in a generation to Spurs for about £8M with Kyle Walker apparently being sold on for a paltry £2M. The general feeling is that a better policy would be to ditch the overseas interests and stop selling the family silver but in the end it's his money and his decision. - Glass Half Empty
