The thread title was eponymous to/with the programme. A bunch of manchester-themed videos/recordings, from Magazine through to The Ting Tings. I don't know now whether it was BBC2 or 4.
There was another programme on about Manchester bands on BBC4, I think. I reckon Grundy's on about the clip they always show from the ballet of I Am Kurious Oranj, where the dancers prance about in tights with the arse cut out.
I was watching the Mighty Boosh on Jonathon Ross, myself. Blimey.

It was something like that, L, but not 'I Am Curious, Orange' itself - another song. There were definitely arses. Was it the ...errr... 'Michael Clarke Dancers' or somehing? Or am I getting my Tories and my dancers mixed up?
These compilation/clip shows are alright, but what I wouldn't give to see, in the case of Manchester bands, for instance, an entire episode of So It Goes or The Other Side Of Midnight.
Fucking hell, talk about a steep decline. From The Fall onwards it gets a bit shit, then from A Guy Called Gerald onwards it gets really shit, and between an incredibly dreary Charlatans clip (1997) and The Ting Tings (2008) Manchester apparently produced nothing at all of any worth.
My main enjoyment came from imagining that Ian Curtis and Freddie McGarrity could somehow swap dancing styles.
Kevin Godley is surely the world's most Jewish-looking man.
