DSS post has reminded me to post this, by all accounts the original Hard-Core Troubadours new album will be a cover of van zandt, with steve leaving the original music by townes band and singing over the top karaoke style

not sure about it, but at least he ditched the DJ


BTW, we had a discussion about steve being religious last year. i have more evidence to prove he isn't

want to hear it?

I never played "Pilgrim" at my mate Pete's memorial service, mainly I think out of diffidence born of not having been around during his final troubles. And I don't even know if Pete liked the song (though I bet he did). But it makes me think of Pete every time I hear it. Like Earle, Pete was properly left-wing and problematically Christian (though I think the two of them dug with different feet).
