Now Stade Francais have had some bad kits in their time (although the flowers one was quite cool), but their home shirt for this season is simply horrific.

Looks like Global Hypercolour is making a comeback.

If they took the lightning bolt bits off it, it wouldn't be half as crap.

That's true of most adidas shirts, with their flashes, swoops and swirls. I wish someone would lock their "designer" in a cupboard.

The lightning bolts are a club trademark.

For once, it isn't adidas' fault.

I think most cyclists (and Italian ice hockey players) would baulk at wearing that. That's revolting!

At present -

Old school

Given that in the historical picture below, Stade are the team in blue, we haven't come quite as far from our traditional colours as they have (although too damn far for my liking, away shirt BASTARDS!)

I like that shirt on top better than their solid pink shirt from last year and the previous ones:

SF used to have perfectly respectable royal blue and red kits with the bolts. I don't know what the deal is with the pink shirts.

Isn't it all part of their "fashion forward" image, along with the Dieux de Stade calendars et al. The sad thing is that it is working, as one can see from the crowd of pink clad sheep in the background.

I note with some pride that Racing still play in shirts that are barely different from those in the print that Egg posted. Pity about the quality of the rugby (and the white shorts).

I think the Stade francais pink kit looks fantastic, but then you knew I'd say that didn't you?

Certainly any that are made by Canterbury are. They've gone for the "One deisgn fits all" and really run with it.

The "footballisation" of rugby shirts is the one thing that really pisses me off about modern rugby.

Yeah why don't they have letters on the back of their jerseys any more?

Bring back the ABC club!

And Bath not having a number 12 shirt because it's bad luck.
