Right, you fuckwits:

Glasgow is quite/very cool.

Bucharest is lovely occasionally without the beer goggls.

Prague is very, very stunning (yes, done it without your help Mr Ursus collective)

London is pretty good, although too many of us have lived their.

Frankfurt is nice, if you like monetary engines, and moreso, Munich airport is sort of cool.

What say you?

Iceland. By far and away the best place I've ever been to. Exciting differentness, I suppose. Glasiers and lava fields and geysirs and a great waterfall and an earthquake while I was there and all sorts. Loved it. Want to go back again and again. Bit pricey, mind.

either they spell the words differently over there, or you really need a snuggle with a hairy bear.

Hard question. Every place has something wrong with it.

Of European cities I've been to I think my favorites are Florence and Paris. Verona and Ravello, for nice parts of my honeymoon. In the States it's probably San Francisco and Chicago.

Scenery wise, the most memorable places are the the Grand Canyon at Yellowstone (pictures don't come close, haven't been to the real Grand Canyon in AZ yet), the Amalfi coast, the Aegean coast of Turkey, Highway 1 in California, and northern Nova Scotia (esp. the Cape Breton highlands). Pretty heavy on mountainous seasides. Throw in parts of New Mexico (like Ghost Ranch), Provence and Alsace/upper Rhine valley.

why not your business, geront?

loafing about gent, drinking lovely cold belgian beer in the roaring sun is one of the best things i've done in years.

absolutely beautiful place, i even got coerced into dropping my anti-fun misery guts persona and going on a most enjoyable canal boat ride.

Haven't really got a favourite but thoroughly enjoyed some of the following destinations
Siem Reap (got beaten to that one).
Love Oxford.
Of the recent visits - Budapest and Petra.
Central Kiev was wonderful, I thought.
Prague and Krakow.
Berlin has a lot going for it and many visits entailing heroic drinking have secured Munich's place in my heart. :)
Venice and Dubrovnik.
Alhambra in Granada. Toledo is beautiful and the old town in Segovia is boss.
I like my Roman ruins - Dougga and Haidra in Tunisia.
Will think of some more later.
