Heard last Saturday from a Liverpool fan from Swansea.

"Babel is an excellent player. When Thierry Henry was his age, Babel was a much better player"

Babel was 13 when Henry was Babel's age now

Perhaps he meant Babel is a better player at 23 than Henry was.

This is some seriously good news regarding 606 anyway.

That's exactly what he meant to say but he just mangled a platitude like everyone else on 606 seems to. The little I listened to made the inside of my skull itch. Even Spoony couldn't get a sentence out straight

Great news about Danny Baker

My favourite ever 606 quote was an irate Liverpool fan after a poor performance who said "If Shankly was alive today he'd be spinning in his grave."

Unfortunately there is still quite a lot of bad news...

Come now, we all thought Barbara Good was hot but we all knew Margo Leadbetter was the one to go to bed with.

You may be right. I saw an episode of The Good Life last night, and, I admit, her quaint, yet strangely potent '70's allure still worked its charm.

A propos of not very much, the co-writer of The Good Life, John Esmonde, has died. I'll prefer to remember him for Ever Decreasing Circles and The Other One, though ...
