I've always really liked the idea of George Orwell but it suddenly occurred to me last night that I've only read 'Animal Farm', '1984' and a handful of essays by him.

What I'd really like to do before getting stuck into any more though is read a good biog on him. Can anyone recommend a good one/the definitive?

Bernard Crick's biog was good. It's quite old though.
