Probably it's just borne out of jealousy, but I really can't see why this guy should get in excess of 4 million quid ... How could he possibly prove he was going to make a good career in football? So many drop out after being teen stars ... And he's giving Sir Alex a good cut of the fee, I'd assume? ... And what's stopping him training / studying and getting some other highly paid job? If he did become very rich from some other job, would he have to pay this money back? ... I would have thought that giving him some 'footballers' minimum wage' figure until he found another job would have been an adequate response ...

The court obviously felt that Leslie Ash was a better prospect as she got £ 5m compensation.
