I don't think Atletico have been in the Champions League since 96/97, when Ajax knocked them out in the last eight.

Mille grazie, Signor. Alas my route to Ljubljana/ Celje/ Maribor (match venue tbc) is via Munich rather than Milan.

Is there a diluted asexual version? ;)

Schalke were seeded, Atletico not.

By the way, Boloni is not actually spelt Boloni, but with accents over both o's making the pronunciation more like beuleuni

Great draw for Vitória Guimarães, I really, really, really hope they make it to the group stage for a multitude of reasons. The main one being the fact their ground has the most intense atmosphere in Portugal and it'd be great to see them take the scalp of a big name or two.

I met one of those guys last night actually. Shame I didn't get chance to talk properly, the stories are always funny especially when they get a bit drunk.

The only e-mail of complaint we ever received from a listener of our podcast was regarding my pronunication of Guimarães. I find the nasally sound the ães requires a bit tricky, so I pronounce it "Gim-a-rains" rather than "Gim-a-raysh-eh". But I guess even the latter isn't quite correct.

Anyway, I thought the guy complaining was being a bit picky to be honest with you.

Gila makes it 2-0, heading home after capitalising over some confusion in the Slavia defence.
