They didn't boost, but they removed a lower leveled FS from the CB5 spot and put in a lvl 24 CB. Also, they added a 2nd CB to the 3rd CB spot, so I didn't go through with the plan that I mentioned last night.
In retrospect, I think we may have made a mistake having so many players boosting early. It's not so much the lost XP (as that was minimal for most of our higher leveled guys), but that by boosting early we weren't able to respond to the various changes that Bort made to the sim during the early part of the season. I know if I had waited to boost, then Stretch, Roach, Wallace and Crush would have different builds than they do now. Boosting early did give us the top seed, but waiting a couple of weeks may have helped our builds a little bit.
I think you're right. Also, it might have made it a little harder for teams to gameplan against us in the playoffs. Does anyone know what sort of changes Bort is planning for next season?
I'm not sure GY, but the offensive AI really needs to be improved. The Defensive AI is just too strong because there are several formations that have a limited number of plays. [end moaning]
Sorry Gyuri, I should have caught that earlier then. God knows I looked at the AI enough.
And I agree about the boosting, but where we were at the beginning of the season (really looking outclassed by everyone) didn't give us much choice. If we hadn't of boosted several of those early season games become losses.
Though, in hindsight, that would have been better probably.
I agree that we were outclassed early in the season, the question is only whether it would have been worth waiting a couple of games (risking a loss or two).
The big question for us this offseason is whether we try and upgrade any of our positions substantially. We may want to bring in another high leveled WR (we could ditch both Mitchell and Blank), one or two high leveled CBs (I'd have no problem with Wallace backing up), maybe a higher leveled guard(I'd like to get rid of Tank, as the agent has been occasionally inactive and didn't boost), another center (we could bring Teddy back, as he's a pretty fierce looking level 21, or else try to bring in someone much higher), and a good, pass catching TE.
We may also want to post in our forum to see who doesn't plan to boost next season. At this point, most of our players will only naturally level once or twice a season, and so we really need boosters to remain competitive.
It's probably also worth asking whether any of the OTF'ers have gotten burnt out by GLB and want off the team. I hope not, but know that I've debated with myself whether I want to retire a bunch of my players this offseason (I may, but none that are necessary for our team).
